Inspired by a similar project by YouTuber Allen Pan, I was inspired to take on this build early in my undergrad years. This project introduced me to many core prototyping concepts, including CAD design, microcontroller and accelerometer integrations, soldering, and PCB design.
At the end of my undergraduate degree, I came back to the project and upgraded the design to feature a sleeker, more ergonomic exterior, including a sanded and painted finish to the 3D printed parts. Designing and printing parts that
Looking back on this years later, I can’t say I endorse the safety of this project, but combustion aside, I look back on it fondly as a great learning experience.
